Mom asks me to play nice!

You have to love a mother’s day post - a day after mother’s day.  My mom asked me to be nice to the Ohio Republican Party - so today she gets her wish.  No ORP related humor today.

(But remember mom, the truly powerful have to have their feet kept to the fire, so that do not become complacent and a fat stinking mess - which is why R’s had 2006.  We got fat and sloppy and in the pig sty - that is what blogs are for!)

Nuclear power is being hijacked by the media and elitists lefties.  Because of the political suicide associated with nuclear power, there has not been a serious discussion about it since Season 7 of the West Wing.  And we all know how that worked out for Arnie Vinneck.    Nuclear power is almost ranking up there with the other third rail of American Politics - Social Security.

Since when in this country, can we not have open discourse on issues.  Why does one side or another have to get their followers all rattled up - without even listening to the opposing side’s point of view.  Learning others point of view, not only can educate you, but it can give you a stronger sense of where your own position lies, and why you feel so strongly about it.  Take me and taxes.  If I talk to liberals, I talk about taxes because they feel it in their pocketbook just like I do.  I feel sorry for all of you out there who do not want liberals in our party.  Liberals vote just like we do, and I will take every single one of them I can get.

Nuclear Power is the cleanest and safest form of energy that we know of now.  And until we learn how to control split Hydrogen, it will be the most cost effective way of delivering energy to the world.  We can make nuclear subs but not nuclear cars?

I hear you.  First question, what do we do with the waste?   And that is a valid and concerning question.  I love the environment as much as any liberal.  I marvel at the good Lord’s paintbrush scheme and I want the same green space around for my children and grand-children and 10 generations.

But for all our scientific achievements, why has no one come up with a safe alternative to dispose of nuclear waste.  I would think that with all the money saved on gas, we could jettison nuclear waste into the sun and let it evaporate into the sun.   (I do not hear you coming up with any better ideas.)

Did you read the story about Utah citizens being able to fill up their tank on $5.00 - that is right $5.00.  Why are we not doing this here?  Why isn’t some Ohio venture capitalist firm taking advantage of this?  We need jobs…right?  (http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5guWBaNQkx4i2y5BaZeWFnU1lXPKgD908O7A80)

Think about how many new areas of opportunity this would open up for Chrysler, Ford, GM and our Marysville Toyota plant.   One of my liberal lawyer friends and I were talking about going green and he went on his traditional tangent of R’s do not want to green.  That is bullshit.

R’s want to go green as long as the costs associated with going green does not put companies out of business, who will in turn have to lay off all those blue collar Dem’s.  Let’s go green, I am all for it - especially with cars but do not make me sacrifice jobs to do it.  Let’s create jobs, go green, cut business taxes so they can afford green projects, and put an Ohio is open for business sign up!!

Thecampaignjunkie for Governor - out!

(Another reason I cannot stand Dem’s, is that they are always suing companies, which employ their workers, causing them to shut down and put their own constituents out of jobs.)

No, I had not heard that story from Utah.

Why is that not in the news?
